Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 2 pounds russet potatoes peeled and diced
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup milk preferably whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
For the Topping
  • 1 pound kielbasa sausage sliced
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/4 cup green onions sliced

Method
 

Prepare the Potatoes
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large pot, add the diced potatoes and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook until fork-tender, about 15 minutes.
  3. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
  4. Add the milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to the potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy.
  5. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and well combined.
Combine and Bake
  1. In a large baking dish, spread the cheesy potato mixture evenly.
  2. Layer the sliced kielbasa evenly over the potato mixture.
  3. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and sprinkle with green onions.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Serve
  1. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
  2. Scoop onto plates and enjoy your Smoky Kielbasa Cheesy Potatoes!
