Ingredients
  

For the Chicken Tenders
  • 1 pound chicken breast cut into strips
  • 1 cup buttermilk for marinating
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour for coating
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup hot honey for drizzling
For the Baked Mac and Cheese
  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs for topping
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder

Method
 

Prepare the Chicken Tenders
  1. In a bowl, marinate the chicken strips in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Remove chicken from buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, and coat with the flour mixture.
  5. Place coated chicken strips on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Prepare the Baked Mac and Cheese
  1. Cook elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
  2. In a saucepan, combine milk, cream, melted butter, mustard powder, and half of the cheddar cheese over medium heat until melted.
  3. Mix in the cooked macaroni and pour into a greased baking dish.
  4. Top with remaining cheddar cheese and bread crumbs.
Bake and Serve
  1. Bake chicken tenders for 20-25 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  2. Bake mac and cheese for 20 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
  3. Drizzle hot honey over cooked chicken tenders before serving.
  4. Serve chicken tenders alongside baked mac and cheese.

Notes
