Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 1 loaf French bread cubed
  • 2 cups milk whole or 2%
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup blueberries fresh or frozen
For the Topping
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar for dusting

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the milk and eggs until well combined.
  3. Add the cubed French bread to the bowl and gently fold it into the egg mixture, ensuring all pieces are soaked.
  4. Fold in the blueberries carefully to avoid breaking them.
  5. Transfer the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish and let it sit for 10 minutes.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
  8. Drizzle with maple syrup and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
