  • 2 live crabs (about 1 lb each)
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 red chili peppers, chopped
  • 2 tbsp salted black beans, rinsed
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger, peeled and minced
  • ¼ cup coriander leaves (cilantro), for garnish
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil

  4. Add the crabs to the skillet, coating them in the aromatic mixture. Cover and cook for 8-10 minutes until they turn bright orange.
  5. Pour in soy sauce and simmer uncovered for another 5 minutes.
