  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 oz taco seasoning packet
  • 4 cups thick tortilla chips
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup diced fresh tomatoes
  • 1 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes; drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in the taco seasoning and add a splash of water if needed.
  4. Layer half of the tortilla chips in the baking dish. Top with half of the beef mixture, black beans, tomatoes, and cheese. Repeat layers.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes; remove foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving with sour cream and additional toppings.
