Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté minced garlic in olive oil until fragrant. Add crushed tomatoes, salt, and pepper; simmer for about 10 minutes.
  3. Cook traditional lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente; if using no-boil noodles, skip this step.
  4. Layer the baking dish: start with sauce at the bottom, then noodles followed by ricotta dollops, mozzarella, Parmesan, and basil. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes until the top is golden.
