  • 2 lbs pork ribs
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tsp mustard powder
  • 1 cup your favorite BBQ sauce

Instructions

  1. Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, combine brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and mustard powder. Rub this mixture generously over the ribs.
  3. Wrap seasoned ribs in plastic wrap and marinate in the fridge for at least 3 hours or overnight for best flavor.
  4. Preheat your smoker to 225°F using hickory or applewood chips.
  5. Place the ribs bone side down in the smoker and cook for about 5-6 hours until they bend slightly without breaking.
  6. During the last hour of cooking, baste with BBQ sauce every 20 minutes.
