Instructions

  2. In another bowl, cream brown sugar and softened butter until fluffy.
  3. Mix in molasses and the egg until fully incorporated.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until a dough forms.
  5. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out chilled dough on a floured surface to about 1/4-inch thickness and cut out shapes using cookie cutters.
  7. Place on lined baking sheets and bake for about 8–10 minutes until edges are firm.
