  • 6 oz thick-cut bacon, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup minced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, chopped bacon, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  3. Form the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and sear in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned on all sides.
  4. In a saucepan over low heat, combine ketchup, bourbon, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar; stir until well mixed.
  5. Place seared meatballs in a baking dish and pour the BBQ sauce over them. Bake for 25–30 minutes until cooked through.
