  • 2¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups peeled and diced Granny Smith apples
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. 1. Prepare Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy. Add melted butter, egg, flour, and a pinch of salt; mix until sticky.
  2. 2. Knead Dough: Flour your working surface and knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place in an oiled bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  3. 3. Prepare Filling: In a bowl, mix diced apples with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  4. 4. Roll Out Dough: Roll the risen dough into a rectangle on a floured surface. Spread melted butter over it and sprinkle with apple filling.
  5. 5. Shape & Bake: Roll tightly from one end to another and cut into slices (about 1 inch thick). Place on a greased baking sheet to rise again for another 30 minutes while preheating oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 25 minutes until golden brown.
